Abstract

|
Leiomyonia in duodenum is relatively rare tumor entity, and frequently creates diagnostic problem.
Author experfeace.4 a patient who was brought to the emergency room with suddenly developed massive hern-ate-mesis followed by impending shock state. In the past history, patient has been suffered with vague upper gastro intestinal symptoms suggesting probable peptic ulcer.
Emergency was performed under the impression of bleeding peptic ulcer, revealed rather firm tumor mass measuring 3.5X3.OX2.Ocm. in dimension on the second flexure of duodenum.
Wedge excision was carried out for biopsy. Post-operative course was uneventful.
